Catamaran Cruisers manufactures a full line of fiberglass catamaran hull houseboats-a unique market niche for the houseboat industry. This 30-year-old Columbia, Tenn., boat builder targets first-time houseboat owners with its user-friendly and competitively-priced lines. Owners of small cabin cruisers and pontoon boats are the most likely audience for this builder's trailerable line, while experienced houseboaters love Catamaran Cruisers' larger boats. Catamaran Cruisers also manufactures the Aqua Lodge, which has proven to be highly desirable. With waterfront property almost unobtainable, this line gives anyone the opportunity to own a cabin on the water. These floating cottages have the mobility of a houseboat with all the comforts of home.

Catamaran Cruisers' hand-laid fiberglass hulls are totally flat on the bottom, making a planing surface accompanied by hard chines that allow the vessel to lift and smoothly glide over rough water. The hulls are also bulk-headed into individual compartments every three feet for maximum safety. Catamaran Cruisers floor plans all feature full cabin width and one-level cabins without small stairs or cramped sleeping berths. Overall, the foundation of Catamaran Cruisers' building endeavors is enabling the average houseboater to enjoy a quality vessel at a reasonably low price.
