Thoroughbred continues this year with building the best boats and developing new ideas. This new year will be more focused on the full-sided insulated glass models. This builder understands that customers like to see more glass, more lake view and have the feel of more space, yet also wants something insulated so it doesn't sweat so much.
Thoroughbred has also had a good year building boats and staying in production when others have shut down. They have controlled overhead and maintained a level flow so that customers can visit their facility at any time and see at least four or five boats in production.
The manufacturer has also put more focus in this slow time to build the best boat possible and have refined the best plumbing system in the industry as well as developing unique-looking lighting for day and night time. Professional interior designer Dawn Heinen continues to assist and do the design work on all the houseboats.
Thoroughbred Houseboats continues to move toward lower maintenance and improved efficiency with the incorporation of diamond plate catwalks, powder coated components, GeoThermal marine HVAC, systems Clipped Glass corners and its exclusive Pebble Tec swim platforms. Plus they have a new sales office located in Somerset, Ky. to further their presence in the houseboat market.
"Thoroughbred strives to build new and innovative ideas every year. This year the glass sides are all the rage! The creative things and lighting that can be done with glass will make these very elegant and custom boats."
