The 2011 Lake Cumberland Forum Party, that helps kick-start the new boating season, was held at State Dock on the weekend of May 14. The "botels" (rental houseboats that stay at the dock that are used like hotel rooms) were filled with party goers and the rain didn't do anything to damper their spirits.

The band, Ugly Early from Mitchell, Ind., may have been the highlight for those in attendance as the crowd really seemed to enjoy this band that played on Saturday night. Other highlights included the annual cornhole tournament as well as a great potluck dinner with the forum members.

This event is sponsored by State Dock and not only does it give members of the Lake Cumberland Forum a chance to mingle and put a face to an avatar, it also helps celebrate the unique lifestyle that only Lake Cumberland in Kentucky can offer.
