Emerald Bay
Precision Craft Boatworks recently purchased Emerald Bay Manufacturing, which has been building houseboats since 1994. In its 100,000-square-foot facility in Oroville, Calif., just north of Sacramento, this manufacturer will continue to offer a full range of custom-built houseboats while specializing in all-aluminum models. For more information visit www.pcboatworks.com.
Sharpe
Due to tough economic times, Sharpe Houseboats officially closed its doors in September. Owner Jim Sharpe is a true pioneer in this segment of the boating industry and will be truly missed. Sharpe Houseboats has been a long-time supporter of the houseboat industry and we hope to see this builder back in business soon.
