Saylorville Lake is located on the Des Moines River in central Iowa, just north of the city of Des Moines. This 26,000 acre lake area provides a minimum downstream river flow for water supply and water quality during drought periods. Park Rangers manage the woodland, wetland, and prairie habitats. The lake offers multiple boat launches, beaches, and outdoor recreation including camping, boating, fishing, hiking, biking, wildlife watching and more.
The marina offers many services, including an upholstery shop conveniently located on-site. They offer 5 different 12 passenger pontoon boats for rent. These boats are available for rent May 1st through October 31st. Plus adult and childrens’ bikes are available for rent.
Saylorville Lake Marina has 415 wet slips available for rent and range from 24ft to 60ft. They offer electricity and water. Covered slips, as well as, buoys are also available.
As of June of 2012, Saylorville Lake Marina obtained a 40-Ton Con-O-Lift hydraulic boat trailer. It will give the marina the capability to handle, both sail and power boats, up to 40 tons or 65 feet in length.
Saylorville Lake Marina offers the Lakeshore Room with a great view of the marina. This room offers sitting for 65 people and would be a great gathering spot for company meetings, parties, banquets, graduations, weddings, or any other event. If you would prefer to have your gathering closer to the water, the Harbor Terrace is available.
