Running from May 11th to June 19th, two days before Father’s Day, the 2015 “Deck Out Dad!” contest is aiming to find the dad most in need of this $500 gift card. West Marine is asking for folks everywhere to start sharing photos of boat-loving fathers on Instagram, Facebook, and Twitter to be in the running for the lucky winner’s spot.
Think of the dad who needs to upgrade his fishing gear so he can catch dinner, or upgrade his casual attire so the family isn’t embarrassed at the favorite seafood restaurant. Maybe he could use foul weather gear that won’t leak or a lifejacket that isn’t a few decades older than it should be.
“Whether the dad in your life is incredibly makeover-worthy or just a little too frugal, we want to hear why he deserves to win new gear from West Marine,” the folks at this leading waterlife outfitter explain.
When you post your contest photos, just tag West Marine and include the hashtags #westmarine #deckoutdad. Then finish with captions that include info on why this particular dad is deserving or needing a makeover, and he’s successfully in the running!
