We interviewed Kelly and Megan Greene from Coast to Coast Yacht Sales to hear about some of their experiences with houseboating and why they love it so much, it drove their career choice. Here's what this dynamic couple shared with us:
1. How did you get into the broker business?
We have always loved and enjoyed boating and spending time on the lake. We recently moved down to the Lake Cumberland and Dale Hollow area and thought this would be a great opportunity for us to combine work and our love for the lake.
2. How long have you been in the business?
We have been in the business for several months now and have enjoyed every minute! We always look forward to the boating season and are ready to hit the ground running!
3. What's the best thing about houseboating?
There are so many things that we together love about houseboating, but the best would have to be the memories we make with our fellow houseboat friends. We started coming to the lake staying in tents, then it was renting cabins, then it was buying a small camper, then upgrading to a bigger camper, and then eventually buying our first houseboat, which was the best decision we made. There is nothing like taking the boat out on the open water and tying up on an island with our fellow houseboat owners from the dock.
4. Can you share an inspiring customer story?
Working with customers to find a boat that best fits their needs.
5. What marina do you keep your boat at?
We have our houseboat docked at Star Point Marina on Dale Hollow Lake, Tenn.
6. What's the best thing about selling houseboats for a living?
Being able to turn our passion for the water into a career and working with customers who also share the love for the water.
