A Closer Look At Stardust

May 2016 Feature

Stardust proudly maintains its position of still being the oldest continually-operating houseboat company in the United States as it welcomed its first year of being a part of Trifecta Ventures.

From the first Stardust build, a steel hull constructed in Chattanooga, Tenn., around 1965, the company has since changed hands in the 1980s and adopted distinct building practices in the years to come. Since that first houseboat, Stardust has built over 1,500 custom vessels.

Because their wood-free wall structures are made in-house and are composed of aluminum and fiberglass panels, customers can choose any shape of inset-free form windows. The entire structure is fortified by its patented web frame design, and for those looking for improved handling and economy, new hull designs and direct drive or V-drive power configurations are also available.

Stardust has its own fiberglass shop onsite and specializes in custom woodwork and cabinetry. As newer and more unique designs are brought in, owners continue to enjoy a wide range of options. Through all the upgrades, the same quality and style has been maintained across the size and price range of these houseboats, something any owner can appreciate. Clearly, Stardust will continue to live up to the expectation of custom builds with distinctive designs that last for a lifetime.
