Almost a year after an abandoned houseboat’s owner passed away, the Lake Lanier Association was able to get some results in recovering the sunken vessel near Sunrise Cove Marina, Ga.

“It could have been so much easier if we had been able to get it when the boat first came on our radar,” stated Association Board Member Bonny Putney.

While it’s a long story how the situation came to be, the good news is it’s being successfully resolved. The coordinated effort included air bags, a scuba diver, and two boats owned by Tow Boat U.S. Check out the full story, as well as plenty more videos, here.
