Decking out the Concrete

August 2017

You might remember reading about BōT RōP (pronounced ‘boat rope’), the new retractable mooring line that stores and protects your line inside a rust-proof enclosure. It’s not only extremely convenient, but safety-promoting, secure, and nifty. It prevents loose line from tripping hazards on the dock, it’s lockable, and its solar-powered LED light brightens the cover for easy spotting at night.

But why are we rehashing this? Well, it used to be for wooden docks, but now, this clever contraption can be integrated into concrete docking. A couple of concrete panels will be pulled from the dock while steel grates are attached to the structure of the dock, and voila – attach away.
