Old Boats/Lost Souls

It is just an old boat
but few will rarely know,
When you get to know one you believe it has a soul.
If it could talk and tell the tales of what its life has seen, the people who have owned it, some were nice and some were mean.
Like all of us it has been through life and endured through every day, the battles and the hardships that came along the way.
It has been neglected and abused and left out in the raw dirty cold and forgotten with no one to share the pain.
It got some scars that came from life, through no fault of its own, but every time I've asked, it has always took me home.
This old boat has been around awhile,  it is not real fancy with the modern sleek style.
It is really sort of funny, I guess, cause that same description kind of suits me the best.
It has taken several years to find, but now our paths have crossed, I know this boat was made for me to find and its soul will not be lost.

Tribute to my 1978 Chris Craft named the Lazy Buoy on Lake Tenkiller, Okla.
