| Destination is a fairly new enterprise, but with a very familiar face. Destination’s president is Sheldon Graber, a veteran of the houseboat industry who, along with partners, developed Myacht Houseboats and then went with the Myacht line over to Tracker Marine. Now on his own, Graber has been quick to answer the call for a competitively priced line of luxury quality houseboats. The product includes four standard floor plans of 37x10, 45x14, 53x14 and 60x16 feet LOA in its “Q-Series”, but an infinite variety of custom designs are also available. The Process Destination Q-Series boats are built on a solid foundation of .125 aluminum twin hulls and exterior decking. The cabin exterior walls are fiberglass and all rails are powder coated. Cabinetry on these boats is handcrafted solid oak (the exemplary work of local Amish craftsmen). Other notable features include high-grade linoleum in the head and galley areas, and residential-design doors that really puts the “house” in houseboat. Other standard features range from microwave to rear roof exit spirals (Q-4514), sofa sleepers, four-burner stove, glass shower doors and a whole lot more. The bottom line here is a boat that—if you wish—can be totally customized to your liking, and best of all, it can be offered at an affordable price. It’s a combination that we feel opens up some exiting new avenues in the houseboat market. But that’s not all. Along with the custom Q-Series, Destination is also setting the pace in 40-foot entry-level boats. In the new “I-Series.” This is a great deal, including motor, genset and AC for under $50,000. Between these two series, Destination should be a top option for whatever you’re looking for. |
