Just curious if anyone's heard of these? I have one on order...

I just put a new impeller in my 6.5 Westerbeke, and after about 2 hours use I need another one. Seems I missed some old impeller pieces stuck in the INLET side elbow. Anyway, the new impeller I just burned up came with the boat. Seems Westerbeke doesn't make a replacement anymore, and I happened upon this Globe Solutions replacement. They guarantee the impeller can run dry for 15 minutes. And of all the replacements I did find, this was one of the better priced ones...

a guy on our dock tried another brand of the same thing and it didn't want to pick up and when it did it didn't pump much water.he replaced it with a oem impeller.

Here it is, blue not black- I'll give it a whirl this weekend, I need it to work so I can winterize the thing!

Working on expanding my garage shop pre-empted working on the boat last weekend, so it'll be next weekend.

This impeller has plenty of flex, but the surface feels a bit harder than typical impellers...

We've been using the blue Globe Run Dry impellers for two seasons now and swear by them. When they wear out the teeth split rather than break off. Have loaned them out to other boaters on our dock, all who have used have switched to them.
