The boat isn't a total rehab. Check out my blog for the full story. This includes the Kingscraft that I started rehabbing a couple years ago and sold. My buddy bought the boat from me so I will constantly have updates on the work to both boats.

everything is starting to take shape. 1 thing that would help a lot, take a trailer or a van and unload everything that your not using to remodel. it is soooo much easier with a wide open cabin and not tripping over things to work on something.been there, done that!

Most of that crap was in the cabinets and most of it is the old owners. Just shows how much I didn't clean out the boat when I bought it. I am going to haul a truck load of stuff away tonight. I have to say I am really impressed the more I get a look at the structure of this boat. It is much more soundly built than the Kingscraft was.

NO! I am really tired of doing this. I jammed all this in for this spring so I can finally enjoy my boat.

Who did you build this one for?

JTAlberts

This is just at my temp dock for a few weeks. West Virginia passed a law in regards to electric service at marina's and mine wont have electric for a few more weeks. My buddy is letting me chill till then. We just built the steps this past weekend. For 2 days it was a nightmare getting to the boat.

OHB, I plan on keeping this one for awhile.

Back in the late 80's I sold our 40 River Queen Star Stream III in mint condition to a couple. 2 years later the inner chamber of the SB water pump failed. (Chrysler had 2 chamber pumps). I t burned a hole thru the exhaust hose and the boat sunk at the dock overnight, Total Loss. River Queen exhausts were partially below water line. Bummer

Engine rooms are full of potential leaks you never can tell what may go next. I think a good bilge alarm, backup pump, and a couple rolls of duct tape might be a good idea. You can get water flow and water pressure alarms that MIGHT alert you if water flow fails. How well they work though I can't verify.
