    Shipwreck Men

Has anyone else seen the show "Shipwreck Men" on TV? I think it's on Discover or History. It's captivating!! It's another reality show where cameras follow a bunch of dudes just doing their everyday work. In this case, these guys own an operate their own boat towing and recovery rigs. They float around all day long waiting for a boat in distress and then they go to assist in order to make a living. They're raising sunken boats and towing disabled ones all-the-while serving up the usual potty mouth and tough guy rhetoric we've grown accustomed to. Pretty dramatic and highly entertaining b/c it involves boats, which we're all addicted to anyway. Check it out.

I saw it for my first time this week. I plan to watch it from now on. It is a good show for people whom actually take their boat places.

I haven't seen it yet, but I'm curious-- is Jim Cross one of the "recover-ers"? He keeps much of his equipment at our harbor, and he was telling us awhile back that he may be on a reality show. His operation recovered many boats from the bottom of Lake Powell back when the water levels were at their lowest. Many scuttled vessels were found, much to the delight of several insurance companies looking to get their money back...

There is a lot more "show" than "reality" in this reality show. Fairly entertaining, but that is about it in my opinion.

Isn't that pretty much true of ALL "reality" shows?
