I think I figured out how to winterize 5.7 bravo in water

I fit rabbit ears on out drive water intake and while attached to a bucket of water started motor and watched 5 gallons of water drawn into drive in 40 seconds. Therefore I think if I place 5 gallons of nontox in same bucket I will be able to winterize my fresh water cooled exhaust system and sea pump. Anyone ever try this method or know anyone who has? Thanks

my brother does this every year but we also take out all drain plugs and drain the motor first.
