Using lake water to clean boats?

The marina I am at is wanting to pump water from the lake to rinse the boats. Does anyone have an idea how to clean the water enough that it would work for this purpose?
Kentucky Lake is usually brown with dirt.

I thought of using a swimming pool filter and pump. Wonder though if this would clean the water enough in one pass and if it would supply enough to the high pressure pump?

I was hoping someone had already done this? I don't know of any laws against this, do you?

I live on Barkley Lake and I use a 110 volt submerged pump to feed my gas powered pressure washer with straight lake water. We have to clean the intake screen on the pressure washer every 30 minutes. Other then that, it works real good.

Hmm that would be the easiest set-up!
