    Westerbeke EFI generator ignition distributor

Hi I need a replacement distributor for my 2005 westerbeke 14 sbeg efi generator. It is a Mitsubishi engine but have not been able to identify model. Hours of internet research and going to local parts shops and mechanics with the distributor in hand and unable to find an aftermarket distributor.
The westerbeke part to replace is $1700. The item number is 049710.
I was wondering if anyone has any information on finding aftermarket parts for westerbeke.
    Thanks in advance.JH

That is going to be a tough xref to find - Westerbeke goes to a lot of effort to hide who their suppliers are. What is wrong with the distributor - can it be rebuilt? If not, have you taken it apart to try to find any numbers on any of the internal parts?

Thank you for the responses. We think it is a bad coil. I searched for several days to find a distributor that "looks" similar. It is from a 1998 Mitsubishi Mirage.I will let you know how it goes.

I am glad you got it fixed and relayed it to us.

What caused the timing to be off that much?
