    Houseboat fire last weekend

Just learned of this fire that happened 11/4 at Green River Lake here in Kentucky. One of the many things I worry about when we leave our boat each time. No cause was listed. I hate it for the owners.

"Minor damage to neighboring boats" my foot! I'm sure the gel coat on those neighboring boats is toast. If the fiberglass got hot enough, I bet it could start delaminating.

I admit I worry about this issue at my boat dock as well. Lots of guys perform their own work on their boats and I'm sure there's a lot of wiring that ain't up to codes!

They are lucky it was only two boats. Most of the time this happens, the destroyed/damaged boats are in double digits.

Did they found any possible cause? We would be SOL if this happened on our row or the one past us.
