Well I still have my Decatur Marina, there are currently 6 people trying to buy. Seems they just cannot get the cash. one of these may be able to pull it off. I bought Marina Cove on the Tenn Tom. Name will be changed to Pirates Chest marina. Should close next month. It is located at the Tom Bevill lock and dam at Mile marker 307. Travel lift and new covered slips will be put in. Currently there are only uncovered slips from 20 to 60 ft. Plan on doing a lot of things down there. Boat Sales and full service. RV park with full hook ups is there now. Fuel both Gas and diesel. Board members get a discount. Looking to get Sailer down there. OHB is coming in. Give me a hail. HAR HAR.

Congratulations!

As with any business endeavor there will be snags and unexpected situations, but you have been self employed long enough to know all that.

Best of luck,

Bob

CONGRATULATIONS! Now us houseboaters have a new destination! A nice marina should be a slam dunk or home-run down there!

Last time I did this was 1978, I guess, I have been on my own for 30 years. I really did not have a clock punching job, or a boss anywhere close before that. I just do not like not being there. I have one in Nashville and one in Birmingham. The guy had two registers going at the Marina restuarant. He was stealing about $4000 per month. That was 29 years ago. Big bucks then

Sailer, I need you down there to help with things. No wrapping the boat up. You with your expertise could be a real help.

Pirate -- You would just love to get me under your supervision would'nt you? I can just imagine what kind of whipping boy you would try to turn me into and it ain't pretty. You would probably try to turn me to the dark side by using a monkeys fist to knock out and shanghai unsuspecting boaters who are looking for transient slips. I can see myself being sent on forays into OHB's territory, hoping to catch him digging up a chest full of stocks, bonds, cash and bad booze. I'll have to sleep on that offer for awhile, of course with one eye open. One never knows.

Sailer will soon change from upper miss to Tenn Tom and throw away his shrink wrap. OHB and I will be monitoring his move.

Wait a sec. You have so much gold already that you should be sharing with us less fortunate boaters. Larger portions to shellbacks, of course.

Come on down Sailer. You can run the place till I get this one gone. Free slip rent and fringe benefits for your services.

I would certainly have the know how on running the place but I would worry about the fringe benefits. Do the include rum, beautiful women and choice of one of your treasure chests? I am kinda high maintenance and need a lot of cash for toys.

Congrats Pirate! You are living my dream... of course, it may be trading one rat race for another, but I would sure like to give it a try someday. Best of luck.

Wicked fine acquisition mister Pirate sir. Will you allow Yankee houseboat enthusiasts in for a stay? I'll bring some Maine lobster with me.

Certainly will, you guys need to get out of the Yukon once in a while. All good Yankee houseboaters are welcome. Come on down and leave the shrink wrap behind.
