In my case, it's more how to treat the dog we have, rather than
picking a specific dog FOR the boat.
We have the best of both worlds. A place on the water. Our dog has
a yard & a boat. But,he must go with us to bring back
this HB. We have no choise. 8-12 days of being on a boat
(mostly). For the few weekends we crab or shrimp, he can stay home.
He has some heeler in him, so I know what you mean. I've
cowboyed a few years in Arizona myself. Working breeds need to
work, not sightsee, that's for sure.
IF they made teacup Basset hounds, then they might be a livaboard
breed.
