I need a new receptacle for my 1999 Myacht. Would prefer one just like the original but cannot get Myacht to respond to my inquiries. Does anyone have any advice on replacements? They seem to vary greatly in price.

There really aren't than many choices out there. First you'll have to determine if it's a 30 amp or 50 amp, and then go shopping. I'd guess the biggest manufacturers are Marinco or Hubbell ; there are two styles that I'm aware of, one has a screw on metal lid and is pretty much watertight. The other has a flip up plastic lid and would be "weatherproof". It's a lot less expensive.

Actually you may not have to replace the entire thing. I think you can just buy the innards and install them in your existing receptacle; you'll save a bunch. Check Boatfix.com; I found a 30 amp interior there for about $35.

It should be a standard part available at many marine stores.  If you have a West Marine store near you I would expect them to have it in stock, or at worst a couple days to get it in stock.  On things like that it is nice to be able to touch and feel it before you buy so that you can be sure it is going to fit.

If you are comfortable matching it up with pictures then online would be a great source, probably a lot cheaper.

Many of the items on a Myacht are the same as what's used on Class C motorhomes. The shore power connector you're looking for is available at just about any RV supply store.

The end will work but it is not the std marine application and will not ionterchage. You are probaley talking about 30 amp which is different also. i have to have both as i have an RV Park in addition to the Marina.
