This is caused by using the WYSIWYG editor. If you go to your profile, personal options, and change your Editor Type to HTML instead of WYSIWYG, you will be able to type your message.

WYSIWYG has more features but requires Java to be installed. This has worked in all cases and came from the Capt of the Magazine.

I just made sure I had Java and then cahnged from HTML to WYSIWG

I then hit bold and just hit it again and got the (b's0 as shown.

Trying it now, it types funny but then posts like you see it now. I have not been abel to edit

Went back to HMTL now. It works fine in the format.
