It was such a nice day Sunday that we decided to cruise a bit. We left the marina at a stately 10 knots. In the cabin, the Admiral decided that 68degF was not optimal, and plugged the 180 watt electric blanket into an outlet powered from the inverter. After just a few minutes, I heard and felt such a commotion that I shut down (shoulda dropped a hook!) and went to investigate. It seems that the electric blanket control unit did not like the taste of the modified sine wave coming from the inverter. It was smokin hot!. Just thought that you folks might like to know that clocks aren't the only things that don't appreciate the modified sine wave.

Just about anything with a brain, that is a computer chip, isn't going to like your modified sine wave.
