We own a 1989 Holiday Mansion 38' Costal Barracuda with twin 350CID Volvo's with out drives. Does anyone know how many RPM's, proper prop size, and how fast this boat should go? Also what RPM is the best speed and fuel mileage?
This was our first season on the boat, and the first winter without her. We miss her already.
From the deck of the Miss Kriss (in my mind anyway)

B'daddy,

Try this link (you may have to copy and paste it to your browser) for a good discussion board relative to Volvo issues. Some very knowledgeable posters hang out there. A lot of the questions have to do with fish/ski boats, but you can get some good info regarding engines and drives.

Boat had 17x18 and would turn 4200 at 26to 30 mph. Best fuel mileage is on plane at about 2900. Get on plane and then back it down but keep it on plane. Welcome aboard

Pirate,

What's your best guess for props on Volvo duo-prop twin 350's on a 38 ft HM aft cabin at 6000 ft altitude?
