i keep my boat about 1 mile from where you are picking up your boat and we de-winterize between march 1st and the 15th. we usually are out on the river beaching by the 1st week of april if the water allows. The issue up here isn't so much the temp., but the river level. The normal "high water" time is between feb. 1st and may 1st, however the last couple of years we have had very little high water. The marina your are in you will probably not clear the bridges to get out once the river hits between 42-45ft. Like wise some of the marinas you may stay may have similar bridge restrictions so you need to plan ahead and contact them before you leave to see at what water level do the become inaccessable Also most marinas don't open there fuel docks around here until may 1st, some until the 15th (depending on the river level)so plan your fuel stops carefully and carry some extra fuel just in case.(also a good idea to care extra fuel filters and water seperator filters if your boat is equiped with them)
