Well I found a boat and made an offer contingent on an acceptable survey and mechanical inspection. It is a 36 foot Holiday Mansion. It has been very well cared for and is in great shape. I really like the more open layout of the Holiday mansion compared to other boats of this size The mechanics of the boat are relatively simple. a single small block 308 driving a Volvo Penta out drive. No generator, inverter or anything exotic. Simplicity is very good in my opinion. My favorite part is that the boat hasn't really been messed with. No half-assed weekend handy-craft projects in sight. The boat has been kept up right. I know it doesn't look like much now, but I can't wait for spring!
Oh, I just want to say thanks for the advice I have gotten here so far. I'm sure I will have more questions and hopefully I can share some of my experiences as I figure this all out. Thanks again!
