I just got word that due to Spring flooding that may put the storage yard under water, all boats are going in the water ASAP at the St. Paul Yacht Club. Sound like it's a pretty crazy scene.

I've seen it on the St.Croix many years ago. Marina operators are worried about the water suddenly coming up at night and floating the boats off of the jack stands and other supports. No problem if someone is around to put in the plugs and put the boat into a slip. If no one is around however................ well you get the picture. Other marinas will follow suit if the water continues to rise. This one good thing about keeping the boat in the water, at the slip all year long.

Boats stay in all year here, we use them all year. Why worry with all that stuff when as a retired Shellback you can ease on down to the no freeze zone.

Agent J -
Did the "new" boat go into the water yet? Just curious to hear how things are going...

No spring here, (50 miles west of Chicago) we just got 8" of heavy, wet snow. On the bright side, we'll be around 55 deg the rest of the week.

Yeah, you betcha. You and OHB only want me closer so you can pick my pockets clean of what ever change I have left after the markets have left me destitute.

However, a bit of warm weather sure would allow the joints to work a little better.

Cool weather has taken the edge of the flood so my boat did not go in the water yet.  This is good, as I wanted to do a little painting and sprucing up this spring.
