I sold my house boat, and now have a 1989 Carver 2557 Montego . The problem is that the beam is 9'6 and I live in Indian If i am reading the codes right 8'6 is the max i can tow down the Road anyone else find this problem? I hope I am miss reading the codes . I am asking it here cause I find house boaters to me more helpfull than the cruser's

8'6" or 102" is the max, in any state without a permit. Call your state DOT.
