Recently started using the small 2k Honda Gen to run frig tv light stuff in the boat ....
The unit i have has less than 20 hours, dock friend who is ele. guru told me of an issue he had with his, a broken connections killed his output. When mine stop putting out electricty but continued to purr along. He found the same issue with mine.

This is a factroy problem where a wire is not crimped properly as it makes a connection.
Bottom line is its a simple fix but a terrible issue when it occurs, can be done on the spot, so heads up.......ps my 2000 Honda is brand new....

Honda forums should be full on this issue which i have not looked into,
also those who helped me on the external tank its all working great, just not the best hook up yet.

mine is on the bank, i use a very long drop cord which is counter productive with loss of amps but it takes care of our boat....but i see some put it on top,

there are aleast 6 of us who go out togehter all of us but one use long drop cords the other places it on top....

ours keeps, frig, house lights tv going
i can also reduce the charging amps for my inverter and it throws a small amount of charge into to them
