Hopefully I am not far behind you. However I think I am a few weeks out from being ready to drop in the water.

$4.92 on the water at Lake Powell. If paying more is winning, I want to lose.

$4.20 a gallon on shore at Cottonwood Cove, Lake Mojave, NV. $5.20 at the dock. I filled up the jet ski at the dock, and had to get a co-signer for the loan! Good news was I got a 30-year loan at a great interest rate!

Do to the great weather in March I de-winterized on March 10th and have been enjoying the great spring weather. This weekend is the coldest so far and it is low 60's for hi's so life is good.

We got lucky this weekend. Temperature was 101 on Saturday, and 104 on Sunday. Not a wisp of wind. We all got into the lake after a little "AntiFreeze". Water was about 69 degrees. Left the marina this morning at 10:00, with not a soul left on the docks. Got home to fog and drizzle, 53 degrees. Almost turned around and went back.

Rick,
Are you still planning on bringing the boat up in July? I am trying to convince the wife for the stern wheel fest in Marietta.

We've now spent 3 weekends on our boat already, but Saturday we finally took her out. My winterizing notes to myself said everything was ready to go. After a few seconds of cranking to get gas to the carbs, the little Merc 4-bangers fired right up, as usual. Genny fired right up too. And off we went for a few hours. Sure is nice having decent weather so early (apologies to you guys back east)

Well I've been working on some odds and ends on the boat for the last few weeks, finished applying window film on the windows yesterday. We're hoping the film will cut down on both heat gain and the sun fading we're experiencing on the boat. About all I've left to do is to restock the perishables and cleaning supplies we keep on board and hopefully she'll be ready for another summer of fun. The only thing I'm not really looking forward to is the hundred mile pull to the boat club to put her back into the water. Oh well it will be gratifying when we splash it..

Well we had an uneventful trip back to the marina, which is always a good thing. Backed the boat into the water just deep enough to submerge the engine enough to start, and heard the dreaded "click" if the starter. It was then pull here back out and off to purchase a new battery.
Installed the new battery hooked back up to the boat and re-submerged the engine, she fired right up and all is good with the world. Then enjoyed a nice run down the river to our dock and thoroughly enjoyed our first night of the year on the boat enjoying some good music and ice cold beer. Live is now good again, so looking forward to many other enjoyable weekends this summer.
