Well, why didn't you just say you were using 'the other' hull.
The only thing that separates RV'ers and boaters is the different hulls. The personalities are the same.

42gibson, you could always turn north and take I-40 west, through Albuquerque, Flagstaff, Sedona (Gorgeous place!), then down into Bullhead City, AZ. We hear they have some water on the Colorado River. Hit Las Vegas and see Lake Mead, Hoover Dam and the new bridge they just finished over the Colorado River. It's worth the walk out on that bridge to look down onto Hoover Dam. I am riding my pwc up Mojave Lake this weekend, and will be looking up at the whole dam thing. Enjoy your trip. Lots of big, beautiful country all the way. One of these days, when I retire, I will take the reverse trip to your neck of the woods.

Oh, yes, good idea! I can recommend Sedona- it was a highly-touted stop on our recent coast-to-coast trip via small airplane. The rocks are lovely. We had an excellent lunch at the restaurant overlooking the runway at Sedona's airport. Great view and surprisingly good food. (The breakfast and dinner menus looked good, too.) There's some pretty amazing geology out that way. And it's not very far north (as westerners figure) from Sedona up to the Grand Canyon.
