well we've had our 42 gibson 3 years now and have everything fixed and just the way we want it. so what do you do now? we went to knoxville over the weekend and looked at a 44 executive. i must be nuts!on the other hand, when you go in an executive its like walking into a auditorium. everything is on 1 floor, it more or less has a basement, everything is very accessible to work on and it has a washer and dryer. 260 hours on 454's a westerbeke gen and a very low price. looks like we may be back to a 2 boat family again.

well they pulled the boat today to inspect the bottom before we went down for sea trials. it had some small blisters but the owner dropped the price to take up the cost of redoing the bottom (5000$) to redo the whole bottom.were heading down for sea trials in the morning, if all goes well the survey is next, then the bottom, then onto ohio with it.anyone need a 12x42 gibson? lol

Congrats.

I'm sure the survey will go well.

For some reason a lot of exec's had blisters. No big deal. You will love it. You can ski behind it if you don't load it down with a bunch of stuff.

All it takes is horsepower and oh yes money. My boat originally had 450 and was a lot lighter, and I don't doubt could pull skiers (gas was a lot cheaper then). Now we get around quite comfortably with 120 hp and don't use all of that. The money some would spend on fuel goes to creature comforts.

We used to have someone on here who did (with pix)... and with a single engine no less.

Personally I have other priorities for my meager funds (Tequila).

Rick,

Do you have pics or a link to the new one? I hope you're still planning on coming up for the Italian fest. I plan on saving a space for you if you're heading up.
