Back when we were rebuilding our boat a song was released that really captured our boating experiences. The song was Five O' Clock Somewhere by Alan Jackson and Jimmy Buffett.

To tell the truth the song captures in essence what our time on the boat can truly be at times. Clocks and time no longer matter what-so-ever to us one the boat it's all about what sounds good and motivates us at the moment it's "our time" being as it is. We flow with our own rhythm throughout the day and sometimes throughout most of the night trying to savor every moment of the weekend on the water both publicly with our boating friends and quality private time with each other. Our time on the boat is in reality truly our 5:00 Somewhere....

I have wondered if the song says it's "half past twelve," how it could be 5:00 anywhere. Four and a half time zones away?

Love 'humuhumunukunukuapuaa,' but an image of him plenty pretty fish might be hard to come by, and really a challenge to use on the radio, especially on a mayday call, when it must be repeated three times, and you're busy. And then to spell it using phonetic letters? Hmmm. I kind of like Pot o Gold, because if yours is like most boats, that's what you've sunk in it. Easy to understand on the radio, too. Serenity, when last I looked, was Number One in boat-name popularity. Add to all the Sea-renities, and it's a runaway favorite.
