I have a 87 Sumerset with heavy oxidation.Has any body ever used this Poli Glow product? Seems to apply to easy and looks to good to be true. I also seen a product on ship shape Tv I think it was called Buff Magic.

I've heard good and bad about it. The one boat I've seen that used it looked pretty good when it was first done but that was short lived. Personally I would not use it on a boat I owned.

A few years ago I subscribed to "Powerboat Reports", an independent NO ADVERTISING magazine . In one issue they did a follow up on test done one year earlier and generally recomended Polyglow as having enough benefits to be an ok product. Think it has to be done yearly though.

It wears uneven and has to be kept up. Once you use it unless you plan to strip it (not easy) you must continue using it. It yellows over time.

The "NuFinish" liquid wax in orange bottle is hard to beat using once a year. Don't use the snake oil fiberglass restorers. I tried some years ago and it looked great for about a year, after which it started peeling like snakeskin.

Houseboat8972,

How long have you been using Nu-finish?

Not near as often as I should be, but it has worked well on my Sumerset. (I've only used it once in the 3 yrs I've had this boat, but used it many times on the Nautaline.
