Hello everyone...I was curious is their anyone that does Cleaning of the underside of the hull like the entire bottom. If not Do you think this would be a service people would be interested in paying for. I came to the Idea of starting a business in doing this after scraping the bottom of our 86 Jamestowner.

I pay about 75.00 for monthly cleaning. I am in salt water, it is needed.

Everyone has it done here, most by Diver Services of Pensacola.

Loaswigo,

I have the bottom cleaned twice a year and have since I have owned the boat. I pay $4.25 per ft. If you just have it cleaned whenever the the cost goes t $5.00 per ft. The company I use is Inland dive service. Find them on the web. I live in Texas.

Hope this helps.

Captain Rick,

WELCOME ABOARD!!

Seems most boating areas have someone offering this service. If your area doesn't, it might make a reasonably lucrative summer sideline. Must remember it IS seasonal.

In our area fellow and his dad have work pontoon loaded with pumps and accessories and go from marina to marina cleaning aluminum hulls on houseboats and pontoons. Has a rotating water powered brush that is pulled against hull as it rotates and does an excellent job of removing growth and lime deposits.

Best

Bob
