hooking a water supply line into my houseboat for on dock use, will not drink it.

I presently use water from my holding tanks. I have a stand pipe that draws the water for the crown head tolet. How do I or can I hook a into the tolet, with the shore water. my main reason is to prevent less trash and small particles going through my unit which could glog it up or is this not done.

A second related water supply question, the on demand 12 volt supply pumps that provide kitchen sink and bathroom sink water on my boat, which is drawn from the holding tanks, without knowing the brand if I splice into the output side of these pumps with the in coming supply line and the pumps are switched off will it let the holding tank water continue to flow while IM making my instalation?

Yes it'll work as you plan.

To be safe install a check valve between the pump and where you tee in. This will protect the pump from the shoreside pressure. Normally even if the pumps are left ON they won't run, unless the shore pressure is less than the pump pressure.

Don't forget a bilge alarm... If something fails it'll let you know you're sinking.

for the crown head unit tolet, I can hook into the water pump out side of the pump, with the shore h20, and when I hit the button to flush the unit, the 12 volt pump isnt going to try to kick on, is this correct.

there is a check valve in the unit where I attach the shore supply hose tot he boat do I need to put another check valve near the pump for the head thanks
