getting ready to have ele. service installed on the boat, using a 50 amp panel,

is a shut off prior to the box highly recommended, required, your thoughts,

and any advice on ground faults will be helpful. My electrician hasnt done the houseboat deal b4 thanks

If panel has a "Main Breaker" this will serve as an on/off. If you are going to use a permanent mount genset, there must be a switching sysem to avoid gen and shore ever being connected.
