Can someone please tell me who to contact about fixing a ceiling in the boat.  It is made of carpet-like material.  I had a leak and it turned the ceiling black and needs to be replaced.  The boat is located on Norris Lake at 33 Bridge Marina.

Thanks,

Alan

Alan,

WELCOME ABOARD!!!

Can be of little assistance with your question. In my ignorance, I don't even know what state Norris Lake is in. If you're a long way from the houseboat mecca of Sumerset KY, I'd suggest contacting local upholstry and boat canvass shops. If anywhere near a days drive of Sumerset, I'd attempt to hire one of the craftsmen at the mfgrs. to come do it. A dock mate bought a nearly new dream boat, but it had ceiling damage from a water leak, and he got a local canvass shop to do an excellent job of replacing material with some of the same they bought direct from Sumerset Houseboats.

Good luck,

Bob

Bob,

Thanks a lot for the info.  Norris Lake is about 30 miles north of Knoxville, TN.  Not to far from Somerset.  I will try to contact them and see if they might be able to do it.

Not only Sumerset boat co. also try at Sharpe, and others in the area.

Best,

Bob

I have only been on Norris a few times but loved each minute.

There was a nice little canvas shop located at the "Indian River Marina". I can't remember the name of the little town near them but they are on the map. They are only a few miles from the interstate.

Tell the guy that runs the marina "Sam" from Pa sent you. He was always great to us when we stayed there. Maybe he will do a "fish fry" like he did for us one after noon for you while you are enjoying the area.

Enjoy the blueish waters of Norris.
