I have a 1992 42 foot Gibson that has a wet bar on the port side of  the inside helm.  I'm considering replacing the wet bar with an entertainment center.  How do I find out how to properly remove the water line from both the wet bar and the source (I don't know where that is either)?  Can the wet bar and countertop be removed with out damaging the helm, the floor or the interior wall?  I greatly appreciate any ideas or suggestions.

My '84, 42' standard has (had) a settee there. Now it's a nav station.
You should be able to reach the water line by going "under", into the area under the salon floor. Mine is accessible from the hall or the cuddy. You really need to be familiar with that area anyway. there is a nice light in mine. hot water heater, sewage hoses, black water tanks, shower pan pump, macreator, fresh water pump, maybe some house batteries to boot. It's where I go to be alone also, (mine is carpeted & I just stretch out)

I suspect that the water line runs above the cuddy ceiling and below the salon floor and into the forward outside storage area.  Then it turns back towards the galley but I can't seem to follow.  It appears as though the cuddy ceiling (two sections of  4x8) sheets have to be removed to gain access and there is only a small bilge pump access door to below cuddy.  Should I remove the ceiling to see what is under or can I find access somewhere else?

P.S.

I'm a little scared of tearing off panels and doing things I have not done before so I guess I'm looking for a little hand holding through this...Thanks!!

Disconnect the lines and cap them off. You dont have to tear out any thing.

Ted,

Nice set up with the nav station! I'm curious - that green spray can on the desktop - is that bug repellent for the skeeters down there, or for all of the computer gear?

I'm still trying to figure out why ANYONE would want to remove the BAR.... But yeah, just disconnect and cap them. No real need to remove them (you might want to re-install the bar)

Leave the line! put the keg below & the tap just left of the wheel
.
That was repellent! Mb & I had "maybe" a dozen bites, irritation lasted about 30-45 minutes. "they" got & KEPT around a 100 bites the whole trip. Being from the desert in central Arizona, they were a delicacy to Miss. skeeters.
