coldn't pass this deal up. have deposit and about to ship boat to our lake. owner doesn't know much about boat, has put in quite a bit of $ in remodeling interior and catwalks. claims engines and generator are in great condition. in preparing to learn about this myself. i noted the great post by Pirate on the Dana info does anyone know enough to recognize these engines? if so, does all 'look' well to you old pro's by what your able to see. also, does anyone know the outboard that was mated with these ?

I think you mean outdrives, and those engines didn't have outdrives, they are V-drives.

I have a 1973/74 '43 Nautaline. I have twin Merc 225's (Ford 302's) in mine with Borg Warner velvet drives, but I bet the rest of the boat is similar. If you have any specific questions, I might be able to help. I also have schematics and an owners manual.

Probably a good idea. That engine compartment didn't look too healthy.
