well guys here i am again picking your brains. my gibson (1989 42 ft.classic) is getting to the point of needing some roof and deck gelcoating. its not real bad but it does need attention. in our area there is nothing within 200 miles to do the work. i was thinking about using duraback white w/uv protection. i have'nt read anything good or bad about it.do you think this would do me a good job? its something i could struggle through.the boat also sits out year round in the open. i do cover it though in the winter, but again it does sit outside. thanks again for all your help.

You really need to read my reviews on Durabak. Then you need to walk barefood across it.

New paint then a good coat of wax will do it.

EJ where are your reviews on durabak? Do you happen to know if I can put it on steel?

Sky I see my pics are gone. Steel would be great to put it on. You will need to remove any old paint. Give the guys at Durabak a call. They are very helpful. Prep along with masking off with tape that has a single wire in it is very important for a professional look.
