I went up to turn the boat around before the 4th and both tachometers on the flying bridge were not working.

After I got it back in the slip and the sun got a bit lower in the sky, I started trouble shooting the problem. I just knew that I had lost +battery or -ground to them. But to my surprise they were both bad. I had both battery and ground as well as about 9 volts AC on the sense lead with the engines running. And all of the connections were clean and tight.

I guess all of the rain made it to damp under the canvas cover and dash for them.

I took both out and sent them in for repair Monday.

I got a package from Faria Corp. today with two new tach's in it. They charged $80 to repair/replace them plus $7.50 shipping. Good job Faria Corp.

I put them in and they worked perfect.

It's nice when things go right.

That's great news. I'd have never believed it wasn't wiring if you hadn't of had them repaired. Learn something every day.
