With all of the rain in eastern Tenn. I have had a window on my houseboat that leaked.

My first fix was to slide the window open, pull up the slide insert and make sure the area was clean of debris. So any water could get out the weep holes.

When that didn't correct it, I noticed that when the window was slid shut, it wasn't quiet against the outside rubber gasket. There are a couple of plastic pieces on the frame that is suppost to push the glass out to seal the outside as you slide it shut.

This window was used a lot and the plastic was a little flat. I cut two pieces of insulated wire and forced them into the inside of the plastic pieces to expand them.

Now the glass goes out against the rubber seal when the window is slid shut.

No More Leak.
