I am rebuilding the bar on our top deck and want to add a hose bib for washdown purposes. I have located a chrome plated hose bib / faucet made by Seafarer but want to recess it into the side of the bar so guests won't hit their shins on it when around the bar. I have seen an installatiion where the hose faucet was recessed into the side of a bar or bulkhead by cutting a clearance hole and using a self-rimming "pocket" held in place with screws with the hose bib mounted inside but can't remeber where I saw it and have searched the net for nearly 2 hours and haven't located anything. I am in hope someone has seen one of these plastic or fiberglass pockets and can tell me where I can purchase one. Thanks, Southern Cross

I have adding a wash down station on my things to do list and I have been thinking about using a flush bulkhead quick disconnect with a cover. All you would see is a 1" flush round cover. Lift the cover up and snap in your hose. I have big hands so trying to screw on a hose in a recessed 5 x 5 square is a pain.
What came to mind when I read your post was the plastic fixture that sits in the wall behind the washing machine in your laundry room at home; holds the water shut-off valves. Look at Home Depot for a single.

If you go to one of the big box stores, you might try looking for an icemaker shut-off vavle box. It will mount securely from the back and have separate face trim just like a laundry shut off but smaller and single hole

What is the bar made of?
If the bar is wood, why don't you just make the recess in wood? I would make the bottom of the recess with a 2x4 and make it sturdy so that your bar isn't torn apart if someone yanks on the hose (imagine a water fight and someone chasing after their victim until being brought up short when they reach the end of the hose.....)
A little plywood, a little trim and it would look good and match the bar. You could even put a door over it if you didn't want to look at the faucet when it wasn't in use.
