My anchor lines are kept "bungied" to the anchors, which are
hooked on bow and stern rails - out in the weather all summer.
They turn green within weeks, and a pressure washer cleans
them up. Is there any "bath" or solution to prevent this?
Or should they be kept in bag or bucket? or? Thanks!
I keep our anchor lines on a small cheap water hose reel that I found at walmart. I can get around 200ft of 1/2in line on a reel so you may need a couple if you have bigger rope or longer lines. Toss them in a hatch under the front porch and all is well.
Vinegar works pretty good at keeping down mold. We spray it on the top of the boat a few times each summer to keep the top looking nice and white.
