After owning nothing but small runabouts, I just took ownership of this 1979 Yukon Delta so now I'm interested in any thing Houseboat.

I plan on getting a slip on the river but the list of things I don't know is huge. I look forward to learning all I can from the combined knowledge of the forum. The main thing
is any information about this type of houseboat, and then of course pictures of anything houseboat. I don't get tired of looking at anyone's boat pictures. My usual practice is to lurk in the background and just read the forums but this one I think I can fit right in.
I haven't got an anchoring system yet and I would really like to install something on the bow but storage is minimal under the seats in front. I will be watching for windless systems discussions and what kind of modifications are needed to a fiberglass hull. I have a couple months before the winter makes it hard to do any real project work.
Thanks in advance.

Delta sales brochures and instruction sheets.
My wife won't let me just send these off, but if you are interested in Yukons, here is the information.  A lot of work went into restoring torn, water destroyed and worn areas with many hours of work until they are
a nicely presented work.  I have a refaced copy of the floor plan for the 31 3/4
and 25 3/4 foot Yukon $4.00 each.  They have the
interior layout, a detailed depiction of layers and
weights of fiberglass as well as upper deck thickness
and what it was fabricated with.  I have the
refaced/restored copy of the brochure for the 1982
Yukon...$12.00.  This shows interior pictures,
exterior pictures descriptions and offerings in the 25
3/4 and 31 3/4 Yukons.  Both the black and white floor
plans and the color brochure show the flybridge.
Other original brochure copies:
Heater controls:
Dometic L.P. gas & electric refrigerator instructions for use. $2.00
"         "   "      "           "            "               installation instructions $1.00
Thetford Electra Magic toilet; owners manual $3.00
"         "   "      "           "            " operating instructions $3.00
Porta Potti operating instructions $2.00
Wall Heater lighting and operating instructions $2.00
Parts catalog for Volvo Aquamatic 280 $15.00
Brochures:
Durable 25 foot Houseboat $6.00
Mark II 25 3/4 foot cruiser $6.00
25 foot brochure describing boat and uses, showing fold down walk around planks $4.00
Cruisable-Liveable-Affordable-Towable Yukon Delta  brochure $4.00
There are no shop manuals or wiring manuals available.
If you need the Volvo Penta stern drive repair manual
1968-91 by Seloc...They are avilable in some boat
shops for $37.00 or I can sell you one of mine in
almost new shape for $25.00 plus $5.00 shipping.
There were Yukons ranging in size from 23 feet to 38
feet.  I have 2 in my collection.  25 3/4 and 31
3/4.  No I did not make up the 3/4...it is on the
black and white page.  I just sold my 23 footer last week.
I hope the Yukon you bought was covered when not in
use.  If not, dry rot of the four corner 2x2,s and
some runner supports along the gunnel will have dry
rot due to water traveling along a sloping path.
Good luck on your work.

I don't know how I just managed that but it was an accident! My apologies for copying your post instead of replying! I am interested, as well, on any information about Yukon Delta houseboats. Working on purchasing a 1974 Cruiser Classic, trailer and 115 hpmotor. It is a fixer upper and would love to learn more about this classic. Any info is always appreciated - good or bad. Thanks -

I'd like very much to get copies of the refaced/restored brochures you have for the Yukon and I have sent you a pm, myboats3 (Greg). The trouble you've gone to making the copies is worth to me what you're asking and will be a tremendous addition to my documentation.

I would also be very happy to study the pdf copies of the documents of your Camper/Cruiser skullduggery (Randy). Thanks so much for the offer.

I have started the anchoring system on the Yukon with the purchase of a Delta plow style anchor as a primary aft and a Fortress anchor as a secondary in the stern. I will making my own bow pulpit from starboard to get the Delta far enough forward to allow room for a pipe to direct the rode under the seating area to storage. I've got 12 inches below the seat so there should be just enough room for the 25 feet of chain and 200 feet of 3-strand line and I will build in an access door. I would love to install a windless but I'm only a couple steps from the bow when piloting from from the main deck, so for now I will pull anchor by hand.

I will keep the list posted with pictures as the project advances.

Myboats 3 are you out there? Sent you a pm but maybe don't know what I'm doing. Am interested in Y ukon Delta Info and how to make a transaction. Also does anybody out there know what year and model Volvo has the same basic engine as a 1979 Volvo Penta 140 a?                          Thanks, Andy 1952

I rarely look on this forum, because they are mostly interested in the larger
houseboats...that is why I listed my email.   As I stated earlier, there is no owners manual.  Only a 10 page discussion of operating on water and a very poor wiring diagram.
I have copies of Yukon Delta sales brochures and instruction sheets.
My wife won't let me just send these off, but if you are interested in Yukons, here is the information.  A lot of work went into restoring torn, missing sections, water destroyed and worn areas (3 to make one good brochure),  with many hours of work until they are
