I have a 40' 1963 Pluckebaum- steel. It's documented as 26 tons. The house hull rails and decks are all steel.

About 14,000/16,000#s should cover it every thing including full tanks. Pirate can give you a closer figure.

Kahuna

Is that the weight of the boat or displacement? BTW how fast will that thing go with those 502s? Post a picture.

The plate in engine room states"Net 26 tons". With the 502 mpi Crusaders I've gotten 34 mph on the GPS. That's with a clean coal tarred bottom. I can't seem to figure how to post a picture here. Check my profile on the other houseboating forum. That would be Houseboating World. Or look in picture gallery.

I fail to tell you that  I welded two thirds of the bottom on the old bottom with new steel. James
