I do indeed have a 1979 Yukon Delta. !40A Volvo Penta w/ 280 outdrive, 25'.  The kitchen (stern) section of the floor was demoed  and the owner passed away before I could find out how the thing was put together.  I'm currently working on the cylinder head; Blown head gasket and seized cylinders and rings. After a year of soaking, heating and cussing I've gently coaxed the engine to turn with apparently little or no damage. I wanted to pull the engine but it looks like i'd have to cut the transom fiberglass bonnet off to do so. Any thoughts or experience on this? The plan is to try to float the tub and really evaluate it before I pour $$$$ into it ,unlike projects past.
I would really like to know how the floor is laid up ( and the front motor mount ) and the dinette area is laid out.
I should have the head done in a couple of weeks and be able to prove the engine, then on to floor and dinette.
Any body know about operation of the toilet (electric) and how to discharge the holding tank?
Enough for now, Thanks in advance for anybody's thoughts and time. Andy Buck

Can't speak for yours, but I had an earlier model Yukon Delta 25 and the floor was just 2 layers of 3/4" plywood glued/glassed(?) to the bottom. It wasn't sealed. The boat had been sunk and the floor turned to mush. I ripped it all out and installed 2x4 ribs with the floor on top of them so it had something like a "bilge".

You'll have to find a make & model on the toilet before anyone can give you much help there. There should be a pushbutton somewhere to make it work IF it works.

As to the holding tank, maybe you can take it by a pumpout station, or get creative. I'm told some folks have used a shop vac... but I wouldn't want to be the one to clean it!

Not trying to upset anyone but unless it's in really great shape you'll probably end up spending more on it than it'll ever be worth. However there aren't all that many trailerable houseboats out there, so it may be worth it to you.

Normally you "discharge" your holding tank by taking the boat to a pumpout station. My boat doesn't run so when I need to empty my holding tank I slip a 3/4" stiff hose, about 5' long in through my pumpout outlet. Then I use a drill pump to pump it out into 5 gallon tanks. This can then be dumped at a dumping station or into a sewage system through a cleanout. If my boat were trailerable I'd take it to an RV pumpout station.
