You will probably have to have one fabricated.

Take the old strut to the nearest full-service prop shop. They probably have one, can get one, or can make one.

KingsCraft struts were fabbed from structural shapes. Biggest reason for failure was the use of brass encased cutlass bearing. Always use fiberglass cased cutlass bearings with aluminum struts.

thank you old houseboater and stmbtwle. strut is slightly bent may take to prop shop and see if it can be staightend. reason for haul out was both strb trans mounting plates broke and caused prop shaft to wear thru shaft log.

If you don't have any luck @ the prop shop try contacting Pluckybaum and see if they can help, I seem to remember that they built either the early kingscraft or marienette houseboats.

If you can't find a good shop, we have a first class marine fab shop in our area that I would highly recommend.
Our area has many large sportfishing boatbuilders; Garlington, American, Jim Smith, Whiticar, just to name a few. And most of them use Stuart Propeller Service in Stuart, Fl to fabricate their struts, shafts, and rudders. It's pretty impressive to see them building a 5' tall rudder out of stainless steel. The last time I was in there with my struts they offered to build new ones if I ever needed them. The owner was very helpful and took time to find the marine hardware that I needed.
